Jan 2nd. For the first Saturday of a New Year.....
ten volunteers gathered 131 lbs of trash at various sites at Gulf Is. Nat’l Seashore - Ft. Pickens.
Also, one volunteer collected 22 lbs of trash over 588 steps on Scenic Hwy near Scenic Court today. It took only a couple steps to find a water bottle and a Whataburger wrapper (most found fast food wrapper)
Over the course of 2020, on average a volunteer picked up 12.5 lbs of trash. A good number to use if no weigh scale is available.

In Gulf Breeze (Bob Sykes Bridge), 11 people collected 69 lbs - day Toal of 676 lbs
Dec 12th Twenty one Cub Scouts from Pac 410 and
19 volunteers collected 462 lbs of trash along the beach at Chimney Park.
A further 93 lbs was gathered by 14 volunteers at Navarre Beach - daily total of 555 lbs!
Like Bruce Beach, parts of a boat are now showing up on the shoreline
Dec 5th A monthly cleanup along Bayfront Parkway at
various locations collects ~150 lbs of trash. Will this change when the “SCAPE” project along the city’s Bayfront project is finished?
At NLO, 20 volunteers picked up 69 lbs and nine volunteers managed 154 lbs of trash along Bayfront
Nov 28th Two sailboats on Bruce Beach are slowly..
being dismantled by vandals. The debris is thrown onto the beach. OceanHour picks it up. How long will they last?
Volunteers picked up 454 lbs of a wide assortment of stuff - 20+ seed packages, a shop vac, a boat hatch cover, three roller bags, a large mirror frame, a wood end table, a harmonica, fishing line (s) need I go on? Meanwhile at Naval Live Oaks volunteers gathered 88 lbs.
On Thanksgiving, Andy & Tammy collected 137 lbs of trash along Bayfront Pkwy bringing the weekly total to 679 lbs. For the month - 2,234 lbs!
Nov. 21st. Another big day 693 Lbs!

Today’s cleanup at Navarre Beach collected 273 lbs of trash. Earlier in the week volunteers from West Florida Home Education Support League collected 44 lbs at Navarre.
Weekly total was 737 lbs!
