Picked up by 20 volunteers, or ~34#’s each! Well above the yearly average of 8!

The amount of styrofoam from cups, plates and containers on Hobo Beach is in stark contrast from my recent trip to California. Even with all meals we consumed, ALL TAKEOUT was paper based - NO STYROFOAM or PLASTIC STRAWS!!

between two pet peeves: businesses not picking up trash around their establishments (example Atlas/Fish House) and PPE and/or personal hygiene products!

Between the there sites of Bruce Beach, Bartram Park and Hwy 98 thru NLO, 34 volunteers picked up 456 lbs of trash.

Amazing, how 100’s of plastic bottle caps were picked up - where are the bottles?

So difficult to choose the “News” photo and for the “Gallery”. Twenty-five volunteers picked up 1,020 lbs of trash at Graffiti Bridge, Wayside Park, Sand Crab Pavilion - Navarre and Bartram Park! We barely scratched the surface! When the debris dries out, where are all the styrofoam pieces, water bottle caps etc. going to end up when it gets windy and/or rains?
