Jul 13 The impact of Hurricane Barry can be felt on the
shoreline at Chimney and Bay Bluffs Parks. Normally there is 10+ feet of beach, water is now into the trees. 35 volunteers came out to collect 194 lbs of trash. Thank you!

Jun 29th New site - Sanders Beach
36 volunteers found there way to the latest cleanup site. 276 lbs was collected bringing the total for the 1st six months of 2019 to 12,277 lbs. 51% ahead of last year.

Everything Ocean Hour does is due to donations and grants. Jun 22 nd Thanks to the volunteers that keep showing up...
21 volunteers at the Payne Bridge on Cervantes to pick up 111 lbs of trash. Meanwhile, 24 volunteers showed up at Quietwater beach to collect 90 lbs for a daily total of 201!

If alternative water bottles, cutlery, grocery bags can’t be eaten they will dissolve in under two months. Present bags etc. just get smaller pieces - micro plastic. To read the USA Today article

At Bartram 15 volunteers picked up 77 lbs of trash. A lot of water bottle lids (where are the bottles?), plastic straws and cigarillo tips to name a few. Go to our “MyCoast” page to see a list of items.
PVC and Graffiti Bridge, 26 volunteers picked up 540 lbs! The daily total of 617 lbs!
