29 volunteers to collect 677 lbs of trash. At Quietwater Beach, counting of plastic straws stopped at 279+! How about paper straws?
At Graffiti Bridge I stopped counting spray can tops at 29! Possible for artist wannabes to pick up after themselves?

Earlier in the week Heather, Daniel and Helaine picked up 40 lbs of litter along Hwy 90 near the Simpson River Boat ramp
and Key Club of GBHS for contributing to the 324 lbs of trash collected at Naval Live Oaks by 37 volunteers. A further 141 lbs was collected by 14 volunteers at bob Sikes Bridge
Even with 10 volunteers picking up 752 lbs, the amount of trash and debris left behind is mind boggling!! 40 USG trash bags aren’t big enough! Need many dumpsters!

At Veterans Park, 12 volunteers gathered a further 63 lbs
Fourteen volunteers at NLO collected 133 lbs and a further 81 lbs by 9 people at Bob Sikes Bridge
14 volunteers picked up 75 lbs of trash at Bruce Beach and along Hwy 98 at NLO.

OceanHour started the process of removing preserved wood littering the beaches of Ft. Pickens. 1,000+ lbs collected today, more in the future! Thirty six volunteers picked up 191 lbs of “normal” litter. Yearly total is now 18,492 lbs, more than any year except 2019 (22,437 lbs)
